Theater’s eclectic seasons showcase new works, classics with modern twists

The GAMM Theatre is a gem, offering patrons the opportunity to experience critically acclaimed productions, from exciting world and regional premieres to re-fashioned classics. Holiday time often includes a live radio play version of It’s a Wonderful Life. Local and visiting artists will engage and entertain audiences in the recently renovated Warwick, RI venue. Post-show discussions are held the second Sunday of each run. There are discounts for seniors, students, preview performances and, on special nights, for under-30s and under-40s. Jonathan's Ogunquit has become one of the top performance venues in Maine. Our Listening Room offers the opportunity to see your favorite artists in an up-close and personal setting. Children are welcome at our shows. We bring top regional and national acts to the area, including such comedy greats as Bob Marley, Paula Poundstone, and Steve Sweeney; jazz greats Tuck & Patti and Suede with Fred Boyle; and folk legends Aztec Two-Step and Dar Williams; and New England's favorite blues performer James Montgomery. Before the show enjoy a meal or appetizers in our dining room and bar. We have a full bar available in the Listening Room. There's plenty of parking, with valet service on peak nights. Something for every music-lover at the Boston Symphony’s magnificent summer home

Come see why Tanglewood, the famed summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, is on everyone’s June-through-August to-do list. There is something for all music-lovers here on this beautiful Berkshires property: a beloved music festival featuring the BSO, the Boston Pops, guest artists both traditional and unconventional; the Tanglewood Learning Institute, with eclectic discussions, open workshops and recitals; and the BSO’s training academy, the Tanglewood Music Center. Enjoy Beethoven or Bernstein in the Serge Koussevitzky Music Shed or chamber music in Seiji Ozawa Hall. Listen from inside the Shed or relax on the lawn with a blanket and a picnic. The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, founded in 1964 and based in Waterford, CT, is dedicated to the advancement of new work for the theater and creates and operates programs which complement that goal. These include the Puppetry Conference, Playwrights Conference, Critics Institute, Music Theater Conference and the National Theater Institute, a college-accredited training program for theater artists. The O’Neill also owns and operates the Monte Cristo Cottage, childhood home of America’s only Nobel Prize-winning playwright, Eugene O’Neill, and holds an annual celebration honoring the life and works of its namesake every October.
